The founder, Ali Satchu
“When I first started applying to colleges, I had lots of questions and felt an enormous pressure to find the answers while still meeting the admission deadlines. Realizing other students encountered similar issues, I saw a need for a guide that would provide students with the information and advice they needed.” - Ali Satchu
Founder Ali Satchu left his home in Tanzania as a teenager and headed to Canada, eager to continue his education. Like many prospective college students, he felt uncertain about what courses to take or which field to pursue—especially considering how broad his interests were.
Ali joined Seneca College’s Marketing Administration diploma program; an excellent fit for his varied skills and interests. Upon completion of the program in 2005, Seneca College hired Ali to work in International Development. In this position, he coordinated and led events for international students that generated greater awareness of the college's programs and services. This would plant the seeds of great things to come!

After graduating and working for Seneca College, Ali enrolled at Ryerson University to get his Bachelors of Commerce in Marketing. Additionally, he achieved an M.Ed-Higher Education from the University of Toronto.
Ali has since worked in the marketing departments of many esteemed companies, such as IBM Canada, LG Electronics Canada, Cieslok Media, PATTISON Outdoor and now at Branded Cities as the VP of Marketing.

While working full time, Ali launched FAS-T Education Consulting to assist other international students with their applications to Canadian colleges. FAS-T Education now facilitates the journey of international students in Canada and Europe from regions such as the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and more.

Ali feels a deep connection to his role in FAS-T Education. He truly feels he is a part of the process is aiding students in achieving their full potential.
